A Bird is Not a Stone; Palestinian Poetry

This is a thoughtful and sensitive translation of a selection Arabic poems dictating life in Palestine, structured with the original Arabic, complemented with English and Scots. The history of Englands colonial conquest of Scotland feels apt in this anthology of poetry, the long and troubled past of the two neighbours and their now peaceful cohabitation, suggest to the reader the possibility of an eventual solution to the current conflict between Palestine and its militarily dominant neighbour, Israel.
